Meet the Teachers

Being a part of the Box Hill North Kindergarten community is something I am most proud of.  I enjoy being a part of the lightbulb moments in children’s learning and creating a space where each child feels heard and supported. I have a Bachelor of Education (EC), and a Bachelor of Music. Outside of kinder, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter and dog, as well as singing and playing piano.

I have a passion for teaching children and supporting them in reaching their goals. The best part of teaching children is when they have that ‘light bulb’ moment when the learning clicks and becomes second nature. I am Bachelor qualified in Primary and Early Childhood Education. Through teaching at both BHN Primary school and Kindergarten, I am able to participate in the whole school community approach which creates a strong connection from 3-year-old kinder through to grade 6.

Outside of work I enjoy reading, catching up with family and friends, going to the footy, travelling and cooking!

I love seeing our children make discoveries and gain confidence.  We’re lucky to be part of a school where children can experience a sense of belonging.  Outside hours, you’ll find me busy making things with fabric or paper, reading, going for walks, and spending time with my family and friends.

I love our community for its positive, caring and sense of inclusion.  I have a Diploma in Early Childhood, and have been a part of Box Hill North Primary Kindergarten since 2016. There are very strong relationships between staff and families.  Outside of school I love spending time with my dog Milo and spending time with friends and family.

Early childhood is a crucial time for development and learning as children are incredibly curious and eager to explore the world around them. I feel privileged to guide young children through these important years, helping them to grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals. Outside of Kinder I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, reading and painting.

I have always had passion for supporting and fostering children’s development – understanding each child learns differently and require different types of support. I have worked in the industry for over thirteen years in a range of roles all which strive to mentor educators and support children, including working as an ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) Therapist.  Out of work hours you would find me cooking and baking, nature walks/beach, spending time with my (dog) Haku, partner, family and friends and so much more.

I’m grateful to work across all levels at Box Hill North, supporting children with their learning.  I’m happy when I see children that I’ve supported smile when they realize that success is all of their own doing.  Out of hours, I love walking my two cheeky dogs, Milly and Charlie.

I love the Japanese language and culture and enjoy sharing my passion with students. The staff are friendly and supportive and my day is filled with children greeting me with a smile and a cheerful konnichiwa!  Outside of school, I appreciate spending time with family, camping, musicals and watching netball.
